Protestants think you can have a relationship with God directly; Catholics and Orthodox think you have to interact with God through the clergy. Or at least I think that's how it works. I was raised methodist and 2bh it was very laid back and we stopped going when I was like 12 IIRC

there's hierarchical and rite differences among them, the only thing in common is Jesus

only slightly wrong, because back then they didn't call themselves catholics
the biggest difference orthodoxs have with catholics is their refusal to follow the Rome Pope (they call him Bishop to begin with), then there's several ideological differences and customs

Yes but things like being born with an immortal soul, eternal punishment in hell and veneration of saints weren't originally there and stem from greek philosophy.

Cult of the Saints don't stem from Greek Philosophy but from idea of Holiness and the Cult of Relics and Hebrews believed in Sheol(Hell) as for Eternal Punishment it is mentioned in Isaiah and Daniel.

It is. The official name of Orthodoxy is Orthodox Catholic Church.

Catholic stems from greek and it just means sort of 'universal'.
