>This is still banned in several American states
When will Americans know the true flavour of the blackcurrant?

>This is still banned in several American states
for wat purpose
Is this a silly old law like how we are still allow to kill scots under various circumstances?

It was something to do with harming the timber industry. Still, to this day Americans generally don't consume blackcurrants
And did you know in Pennsylvania, you can't run for governor if you've ever fought a duel?

what is a blackcurrant?

Plants in the blueberry (Ericaceae) family are a vector for rust fungus.

Alot of counties in England have laws in which English people can legally kill scots with bows and/or crossbows. They're all from before Scotland joined the union but are all technically still legal.

That sounds... exploitable.
>>74597861
Not native to the New World and a disease vector for shit that could devastate the domestic industry.
We do grow it here connercially, though, and you can buy rootstock for your own garden.
In Italy apparently it's legal to kill a man you find sleeping with your wife.

As I said, any Ericaceae species can carry rust fungus including ones that are native to North America.

Let me get this straight.
Americans ban perfectly safe berries because of muh diseases, but proceed to consume raw meat en masse?
>>74598260
It's not about the consumption, it's about the cultivation.
>>74598260
>proceed to consume raw meat en massé
do you have any evidence of this? most people I know refuse to eat any meat with pink in it because they're convinced it's blood.
>>74598260
Not because of muh disease to people, but because pines in northeast america didn't have any resistance to rust fungus and it could kill their industry.
It wasn't a sanitary concern, it was an economic concern.
>>74598096
>you still we always be a cuck
>>74598074
It is, im honestly surprised noones took advantage of these laws. Some are way more circumstantial then others but some are as simple as being allowed to shoot arrows at scottish people in your street. The best thing about them though is the fact the government is aware of them but hasnt changed them because theres "no need to"

I'm pretty sure it's against EU regulations. So keep those bows away for the time being.
>>74598260
We don't eat raw meat you idiot.
>>74598718
Yeah right, next you're gonna tell me you dont refrigerate your toilet paper and dont microwave your water.
>>74598678
Why do you think we've told the scots they have to wait until we formally leave the EU for another referendum.
>>74598756
We don't. Everyone knows you're supposed to freeze your toilet paper and bake your water.
>>74598825
What about showering and sleeping with shoes on? That's true, right?
>>74597990
Currants aren't even a part of the heather family and there is hardly any way of confusing them as such. Entirely different clade
