We aren't portuguese like you- your people are by and large Portuguese and you culture is deep, distinct, and Portuguese. Our culture is historically shallow, divided, and based more on ideology than on any national ties. UBI of $55k a year would sink this country. Not to mention all the "oppressed" "refugees" from "war torn countries" would attempt to come here, and our liberals would show us enough crying children on TV to get even more rent seekers to come here.

You are wrong. My people is a millenial nation that have fought throw all sort of "evil" that can bestow to a county. I dont want to get into details but Portugal its not the OLD Imperial Portugal anymore.
