In Germany unless you get classified as disabled which is very hard you have to regularly apply for jobs in order to receive welfare money and if you decline a job offer you get your welfare cut.

That's one of the reasons we have quite low unemployment now compared to 20 years ago when people just got money forever

I never failed a class until college, when I got all depressed and shit. Now I've failed one and will probably fail one more before graduation. It's weird, I used to get upset when I even got a C, but now an F is like "oh well".
