for most western european countries the accent is predominantly phonetic, e.g. de-voicing on the plural marker ("dog-s" instead of "dog-z") or approximating the voiced th sound ("de" or "ze" instead of "the")

russians have more structural issues than those countries though. don't have too much personal experience with slavic languages, but i know they don't use articles much and since their language marks grammatical case you'll also see them omit prepositions. that sort of stuff shows up even in writing.
