Depends what kind of bizarre you are looking for so be specific. When in doubt, always choose Vegas. Bring a portion to gamble.

Google "best roadside attractions".
Many of those places are small tourist attractions not very well known to the average tourist and most have a weird factor to them. Florida has a lot of those. Pic related.
Gatorland is a small place in Orlando with tons of alligators on display and they have daily shows where a guy wrestles with them and feeding shows where they slide chuncks of chicken on wires over a pool where several of them swim and they go into a feeding frenzy. Footage taken from that last bit was used at the end of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. Recently, they added several zip lines going over the alligator habitats.

Florida without a doubt, been to all the lower 48 and Florida by far the most meme worthy. Honorable mention to San Francisco, Las Vegas, Portland, and Austin
Florida. Had some fucking weirdo walk up to my car at the gas station asking for donuts.
