The posted prices cannot be arbitrarily changed in the span of an hour, they usually do that after the week is over.

So say you go and get yourself an empanada for 1000Bs.F, next week it might cost 1500 because the owner can't affort to keep selling at the same price when the flour he has to buy goes up in price, same with the cheese, meat, etc. Add to it that there's the chance they might not be able to even find the ingredientes in the first place, and you understand why nobody is investing in Venezuela anymore. So you can't be charged more than what you agreed to pay when you ordered something, since you can't sit in a restaurant ordering food until the next week.

All my friends that have left the country did by saving up whatever money they could scrounge up and getting a ticket to Chile and are now doing alright over there. Got their own homes, working in small businesses or opened some, or doing any odd jobs like plumbing and such.
