>Is Chile really a good country?
yes
>is Michelle Bachelet really socialist? Why does Chile continue being the most free country in America?
Chile has bipartidism between a center right party represented by Piñera, and a centrist alliance of Christian Democrats and Social Democrats. Bachellet belongs to that centrist party.
That alliance exists because when they became a democracy again, christian democrats and social democrats allied against pinochetism. She isnt a commie.
>are things expensive there? >taxes?
goods arent expensive because they are a very free market/open markets country that imports many cheap goods, tvs, cell phones, videogames, computers, fridges, washing machines, air conditioning machines, shoes, clothes etc are much cheaper than in Argentina or Brazil, but medicine and college education is expensive. It isnt rare for Chileans who live close to the border to buy medicines in Argentina or even use our hospitals, the same happens in the Peruvian border (with regards to hospitals).
And some medicines that are very expensive in Chile justify making a 10 hours car trip to Argentina in order to get them cheap, imagine if you are a father whose son has a chronic disease and needs expensive medicines every month.
>how is it the education?
good but not "free"
>wages?
the same as Argentina pretty much. I think middle class Brazilians would make pretty much the same amount of money.
