The Quechua (Peruvian mountain natives) have a non-zero incidence of the main red hair allele. They actually have more of it than any Euro group save Irish. No big deal, you can explain this as Spanish admixture.

But here, they have a red hair allele which is associated with eastern europeans, and which is absent in the Irish.
If this allele came from the Spanish (and thus likely from Berbers as well), that means there's a genetic connection between the Berbers and the Udmurts (the likely redhead source for the slavlands)
If this allele didn't come from the Spanish, then even crazier things abound, like Native Americans developing red hair.

Pigment genes literally have no racial boundary. Red hair exists in Africa and it independent arose, blondism occurs in the Solomon Islands, "blonde skin" occurs in Highland Papua New Guinea and Cambodia.

Yes, but specific alleles share common ancestry. Race is just a social construct, I don't care about that.
In this case, an allele for red hair is present in slavs and quechuas, which is PROBABLY a good proxy for it also being present in udmurts and berbers, respectively.
All this while not being present in Ireland, Denmark, Finland, Germany, UK.
What this would mean is that there were two related groups of people living in Iberia-Algeria, and in the Urals.
