I will unironically defend Kraft Mac N Cheese. That shit is delicious. I usually add hamburger and hot sauce.

Not sure why this is the Canadian national dish though. It is an American product.

cook pasta (penne works) & make a whitesauce

when it's done add an absolute fuckload of hard cheese, stir and remove from the heat to cool/thicken up for a couple of minutes.
mix with pasta (al dente), season to taste & top with parmasan/breadcrumbs - bake for 30m.

it's fucking good. you can add onions, bacon, tomato, corgette, whatever you feel like. american mac and cheese is trash.
