Do you really not need to take them out before doing stuff like showering or going to sleep? I suppose that's worth looking into, should worst come to worst.

I can't remember how severe my myopia was, but I don't think it was that bad. If I knew where I'd put the results from my last vision exam I guess I could either be more or less confident about the surgery.

I went to a Thai place and tried curry and the flavor was terrible so I poured little by little a bottle of house sriracha chili sauce in it to mask the taste and by the time it was okay enough to eat I used half the bottle. I was pretty surprised that it wasn't really hot and it didn't mess me up at all after like a runny nose or anything. Finished it all too.

It's funny when Asians think that they are some type of spice wizards. It all depends on what you grow up eating.

Also, I'd use 部 for leaflet or pamphlet just because I feel they are too thin to count by 冊.

I think that when you mention the number from statistical point of view or when you just want to emphasize the number, you tend to use 部. Like この雑誌は今年に入ってから部数を伸ばした。 or この本は100000部のベストセラー.だ。
