In general, the left focuses on the poor, feminism, keeping private interests out of important society functions, immigration, protecting the environment.

Lenin never thought that socialism would be viable in Russia, he knew that it would need to develop through a stage of capitalism first in order to make socialism a possibility. Essentially his strategy was to get rid of the Tsar and hold down the fort until Rosa and co. could spark revolution in Western Europe. This more moderate wing of the party is actually in coalition goverments in some states and even has one governor while actual social democrats/democratic socialist only barely exist in the bigger Social Democratic Party which is nowadays mostly liberal capitalist and has been one of the most influencial political organisations of this country.

There are also some smaller leftist meme parties.

Ireland's political landscape has been dominated by two right wing parties since its creation. We like to think we're a left wing nation because of reasons but we're not. Our right wing is a lot more sly and invisible in comparison to the British or American right wing. They operate on the veneer of centrism.
