Got """Independence""" in 1973, which just means we got a new flag and a new national anthem. We're still under British Rule and Commonwealth.

Don't really have no indifferent feels towards Columbus. Most Bahamians today are of British Loyalist and West African slave decent and everyone here has English last names by getting BLEACHED.

Columbus came to our Island San Salvador, killed/raped majority of native Lucayans with his squad from Spain and peaced out to Cuba, Hispanola, Central America and South America, because he found no gold, no spices, no more living people to convert to Christianity in the Bahamas and you really coudn't grow crops on tiny islands full of sand.

Rest of the Europeans who copied Spain and explore the New World didn't really see any interest in these Islands either, so a bunch of degenerates from Britain came here, called themselves pirates, drinked rum, raided ships and fuck bitches, then the British Government came to the islands and told them to cut that all that shit out.
