ArgentiniANez
>>73092805
In general spanish surnames are much less diversified compared to the italian ones 2bh. Even Rossi isn't as common as García or Lopez.
Spanish surnames are always generic. A lot of italians surnames are unique to the family.
>>73093174
this got it right
Argentines love to pretend they're different. Which is also a spanish heritage thing, we do the same with >muh visigoth
>>73092805
Because the first family name is alway's the father's.
The Italian immigration was much more recent, no?
>>73092989
I want to see the porn
>>73093266
We are heavily influenced by visigoths when it comes to names though
>>73093040
how do you feel about neymar being the future goat, and giving you the 6th WC in 2018?
Still half of Argentina's population are italian descendants.
presidents candidates in argentina were italians descendent (Scioli,Massa,Macri)... italians are controlling our nacion, they are illuminatis... help us plssssssssss
>>73093548
lol that's probably why argentina is such a shithole now kek. Feels good, another utopian country destroyed by italians
Italy had colonies???
>>73093603
>>73093548
Goddamn there are more Italian Argentines than Italian americans?
That seems inconceivable considering the complete culture and language difference
>>73093679
>United States as an italian tributary state
>Brazil isn't one as well
eh
>>73094097
You guys don't have so much italian influence t.bh. They are mostly concentrated in the New England region, and that's it. Your immigrants mostly came from Germany and Ireland.
In Argentina, in other hand, Italy was the absolute main source of immigrants. I already went to Buenos Aires, and the city as a whole has a lot of italian influence.
>>73094097
Argentina is like Italy, this is why it is always bankrupted
WE
Because Spanish people inbreed a lot so most of them have the same surnames
Leaving that aside, it's because Argentina had a lot of immigrants of Spain(just like Italy), but ALSO there already were a lot of Spanish people here before the immigration, because, after all, this had been a Spanish colony. Even the Native Americans here have Spanish surnames.
>>73094532
why so few slavs?
>>73093548
I am an Italian descendant in denial. I have Spanish surname.
>>73093588
i preffer to be intalian anglo senpai
>>73094724
fuck wtf am i writing
i preffer to be italian than anglo
>>73094681
It happens. I'm italian descendant as well, but I have a portuguese surname from my mother... Still got my italian surname too.
>>73094351
Ahh so basically Italians there = Germans here
Except Germans didn't really add all that much culturally here
Must've been hard for those Italians to learn Spanish or Portuguese. The Italians here had a hard time learning English
>>73093192
This is the reason I think.
Those surnames are too common here.
>>73094532
(((russian))), (((polish))), ((austro-hungarian)))
I only know 4 Jewish families and 3 of them are from Argentina.
Imagine the following. Argentina had 2 million people in 1869, of those 2 million, about 1,8 million had Spanish surnames. That's about 90% of the population
After 1869, a lot of immigrants start to arrive. By early 20th century 50% of the population had been born outside this country. Of the 50% that had been born in Argentina, around 75% had Spanish surnames. That's 37,5% of the population. From the 50% that had been born outside of Argentina, 20% had been born in Spain, and thus also had Spanish surnames. That is another 10% of the total. So about 47,5% of the population of Argentina would have Spanish surnames.
Meanwhile, 25% of the 50% that had been born outside Argentina had been born in Italy. That's more than those born in Spain. That means, that a 12,5% of total population. And a 20% of those borns in Argentina had Italian surnames. That is a 10% of the total. This means that 22,5% of the population had Italian surnames.
47,5% of Spanish surnames vs 22,5% of Italian surnames. That meant that at the end, a lot of people with Italian surnames would eventually lose them because of intermarrying with people with Spanish surnames, who already were the majority of the country. So eventhough a lot of people in Argentina have Italian ancestry, not really all of them have Italian surnames.
>>73095068
Not really. Italian is very similar to Spanish and Portuguese
>no Tequilez
>no Mariachez
>no Saltofrontierez
fake data imo
>>73095481
I thought the whole reason Lunfardo exists is because Italians couldn't learn Spanish and had to create a 50/50 way to speak?
>>73095068
>>73095481
italo australian is much easier for us
>>73093679
I fucking hate tanos.
>>73095730
Maybe they didn't want to learn Spanish because they could communicate with SPanish speakers in Italian. I know because I've been in Italy myself and could speak Spanish and the Italians would understand me. I wouldn't understand Italians as well as they understood me though.
>>73093174
Pretty boring desu
>>73095849
That's basically an English speaker trying to sound Italian
Argentines/Uruguayans should all be killed, alongside their "gaúcho" brethren in Brazil. What a shitty """""""people"""""".

>>73099225
Italy never tries to make any connection with Argentina, unlike Spain. Italy is like the father who fucked his wife and then never came back home, which is sad because his child Argentina wants him to at least say hi and give him a hug.
>>73098653
>mfw the only nice place in South Brazil is an azorean city
Lmao, shitalians.
>>73099380

>>73099522
Uruguay strong.
>>73099461
But most Italian descendant Americans are loud and proud of both heritage's. Thank Hollywood I guess, most Sicilian immigrants ended up becoming more successful over time. Probably not the case in Argentina.
>>73099461
Argentina has by frar the highest number of people with Italian Citizenship tho.
I don't really think that is the case.

More Italians probably know English at this point than Spanish
>>73099956
Wow, these are pretty high numbers.
>>73100328
How long would it take an Italian speaker to learn Spanish? 2 weeks? 3?
>>73100404
Also out of date.

hmmm
Imagine if Italy was a country and took over Latin America
>>73093558
No wonder it went from one of the richest countries in the world to the shithole it is today
Because being Spanish is an utter embarrassment and no one likes to be asociated to fucking Spain at all. It's why Argies wewuz so much, because they're niggers who don't like themselves.

>>73101497
it's kinda like that in most SA countries desu, with anglos and germans especially
>>73101497
I mean "prestige" in that they make you more distingushable unlike the masses of Gonzalez and Frenandez.
Do Italians also have the practice of using two names?
>>73101568
Argentina is white.
