Do the Japs have any plans to deal with their impending extinction? Their population is declining rapidly and nobody seems to be addressing it.

Some near extinction event will happen before things get much worse for them.

around 80 million population on those islands would make life more comfy for them I think.

Doesn't sound too terrible. Maybe the remaining population in Tokyo would be able to live in apartments bigger than the size of closet.

Japanese postpone any problems except acute ones which already affect usual life.

Charts are all bull.

Japan is fine. It had huge economic growth in the later 20th century, bringing a pop boom, and it's just evening out. Everyone and thing is fine.

decrease in our population is welcome desu
>>
Birth rate has risen since 2006 in Japan.
So current forecast of 100 millions population is 2053.
Japan can take balancing between birth number and death number until 2053.
100 millions is good number for the land size of Japan.

Wrong actually.

Now 80 million people have to pay way more taxes to support 120 million population worth of infrastructure or watch it decay and crumble.

so? this too shall pass, they won't need all that infrastructure so maybe turn some of it into green spaces (which is always pleasant). Smaller population would mean less comfort for a short time and then it would balance out.
