Why would Native Americans in the US care about what another country did, when they've been getting btfo by white people for centuries

Majority of the damage that was done to them came from the expansion to the west. Of course there where terrible things the spanish did to the natives but by the time mexico got its independence, majority of the land the usa took during the war didn't had a massive mexican population, mostly a few towns here and there and the rest native population (guess what happened to them).

To spanin, most of it was frontier territory, so as long as the natives converted they didn't give much of a fuck what they did and couldn't do much if the natives went apeshit on a single farm but majority of times it was mostly staying out of each others way and mostly convert/trade basic stuff.

I read latin america has a different approach to integrating the indigenous population, mostly they try to do it through their culture, not forcing them to adapt completely. They pretty much understood that they will die off if they don't adapt so they try to start their own business (pretty famous cheese production sites in mexico that is mostly run by indigenous people) and also the government do run schools that teach their history/language. Also latin america is a mixed country so it is not that strange to adapt to different cultures.

Compared to here the reservation are basically zoos.
