Why don't westeners outsource the animation of their cartoons to Japan anymore? Even America used to have shit like Thundercats. Also post your local anime.

money. they, and to be fair japan too, have cheated it. koreans had engaged in it instead but i think they stopped outsourcing it to korea too because of money. other 3rd world countries might be outsourced tho.

idk man the 90s here were all about otsourcing to china and korea and those cartoons looked like shit. 80s taiwan was ok too, they did this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jC_GhLFHrH4

Was the first one really animated in Japan? It looks pretty European, minus the backgrounds maybe.
>>72736597
meant to post this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EASF5-HvkJY as the cartoon made in taiwan
>>72735838
Americans use to outsource animation here. Tom & Jerry for example.
>>72735838
Probably became more expensive.
>>72736597
koreans are not bad. the most animation parts of boondocks and that asian fantasy cartoon were made by them, i think. but i havent heard they worked on some other american cartoons that are a long series after these.

Those animations are based
We only have this I guess.

I guess this is our fucking anime.
I'm an aspiring animator, and would love to make more out of Norwegian animation. We don't have enough dank anime like Elias.
Another anime from Norway. Virtually nothing 2D comes out of here.

> when Binland literally has an anime
Fucking based.
>tfw most of our cartoons were imports from Bongland
I wish we still did. Last one I remember is from 2007.
There were great ones, like based "Les Mystérieuses Cités d'Or"
https://youtube.com/watch?v=9w_zn3uRwPU
Here's the 2007 one, "Valerian et Laureline". It's pretty good.

The comic is better, and it's been very influential. If George Lucas got most of his ideas for the plot of Star Wars from old westerns and Kurosawa's movies, a ton of the visuals came from this.
We pay Koreans who animate in Flash, and the work comes out looking sterile and soulless as a result. I've noticed that the newest renditions of iconic product mascots are suffering the same fate.

This is universally true, the animations in children programming are very bland, trying to convey a "message" while the animations I grew up with had simply fun adventuring going on.

>remembering all those boners from reading those comics with Laureline
European animation is shit. awful.
>>72739400
flash animations are trash. its not a problem of korean animators but those producing it with low budget.
>>72743013
those adventure series require a long run. probably the reason that they have turned into an educational medium is the producers no longer pay for it. unless you have a long series a fascinating or a memorable mascot cant come out.

so is japanese these days, bland cg purée with zero soul from a pen carried by a human hand
The fairy tale of the wonderful potato
