Is anyone good with computers I got a new hard drive today had to reinstall my drivers and got windows 10 now I can't get audio I've tested my headset on other computers so I know it's not the problem. It contentiously says not plugged in also it says front jack panel when my front jack doesn't work and I need it to detect the back panel idk what to do I'm just a tradie shit with technology I asked /g/ but they just told me to install gentoo must be some retarded fucking meme.

Have you right clicked the headphone device & clicked connect ?
>>72522214
It doesn't have that option.
>>72522180
Install gentoo.
remove all your sounds drivers and reinstall them again m8

You may need to re-pair the headphones after the Win 10 upgrade.
Go into Settings -> Connected Devices -> Devices & printers -> Remove the bluetooth headset & add the device again.

You need to delete the system32 folder, it is he culprit.

>not having your OS on an SSD

this probably
it's always the drivers
>>72522239
I've tried that a few times and it doesn't do anything
>>72522270
I'll try that thanks
>>72522292
That is what I did that is why I got rid of my old hard drive cause it broke and I put windows 10 on an SSD now everything works but my audio and I've tried everything.
>>72522180
Have you tried deleting system32? It works.
>>72522327
Could you go to Device Manager and open both of the lists that are open in this image then screenie it?

>>72522455
Sound video controllers as well m8
>>72522473
it just says High Definition Audio Device underneath that part.
>>72522455
right click on "Digital Audio (S/PDIF)...", click update, "browse my computer for software", "let me pick from a list of device drivers", then screenie what it comes up with.
I don't really know if this will work btw, it's just a suggestion
>>72522513
Thanks for your help.
>>72522525
Try installing the one that isn't selected, "Generic software device", then restart. If that doesn't work try the same for the "High Definition Audio Device" you mentioned before.
Apart from that I wouldn't have a clue really, maybe try removing your video drivers with DDU, then reinstalling from either the Nvidia or AMD site depending on your card.

Unfortunately it didn't work I'll try your second option though thanks!
