You are retarded. North Koreans invaded the south intending to conquer it. We drove them back.
I'll give you the Vietnam war however Australia also fought in it. And even then we won all major engagements (including the biggest which was tet) and the vast majority of the battles. It wasn't until we pulled all our troops out after getting the North and South to sign a peace treaty that Saigon was captured. There were virtually no American troops at the time besides embassy staff.

I read an old book from the early 80s about East Asia where the author notes that the people in south Vietnam never really accepted the VCP's rule and remained defiant years after the war ended. He also commented that the north was exceptionally impoverished, nearly Africa-tier. Also the author had noted that China, despite being dirt-ass poor back then, still was more developed and had adequate modern infrastructure, at least in the large coastal cities (the interior provinces were Africa-tier and remain so almost 40 years later).
As one other observation, he pointed out that nearly all farming and manual labor in Vietnam was done by women. Most men were serving in the army and the few available had no interest in tending a rice paddy or whatever. They considered it beneath their dignity and boring as fuck after the Adrenalin rush of military action.
