Is it a favellas from Brasil?
Is it true, that it is kind of the most dangerous places in the world?
are this places a property of persons, who live there or it is a property of government? Or maybe this places were built not legally and without any property papers?
What population of this places?
What percent of brasilians live in favellas?
How much square meter cost in favellas?
Is it true, that police never comes to favellas?
Have you ever been in favellas?
>>
>Is it a favellas from Brasil?
what?
>>
>Is it a favellas from Brasil?
Yes.
>Is it true, that it is kind of the most dangerous places in the world?
No, there are worst places like some places from Asia, Africa, Middle East, etc.
>are this places a property of persons, who live there or it is a property of government? Or maybe this places were built not legally and without any property papers?
They were build illegaly, but now it is considered a house. But the mail for example will not go there.
>What population of this places?
Poor people. Dur.
>What percent of brasilians live in favellas?
I thinkit is like 3% or something.
>How much square meter cost in favellas?
Free, just go there and build houses.
>Is it true, that police never comes to favellas?
Some are occupied by the army. I think that most of them in RJ are occupied by the army. The rest the police just go with murders or something serious.
>Have you ever been in favellas?
Yes

that's a picture from argentina, there are no slums in brazil. favelas are just a brazilian term coined by them to refer to the shitty shanty towns in argentina called by us ''villas'' in which live 95% of the population.

pic related is your typical brazilian urban centre
>>
It is not that bad. In RJ gringos like to see favelas.

are They work there?

Or there kind of army stations/traning places?

There were a lot of drug dealers in favelas, so the army just occupied them. Now it is safe, I think.
If you want to know more, watch Elite Squad, not City of God. It's some of the work of the police.
Remember: the two are work of fiction. Especially City of God.
>>
>>72501575
>I think that most of them in RJ are occupied by the army.
No. Slums in Rio have police. There is a single place in which we have the National Guard.

Guys, do you enjoy regular life in Brazil? There's any special "weird" things that you appriciate?
For example, some people here in Russia loves that dark and depressive athmosphere with snow and commieblock like it's a e s t h e t h i c.
And one more question - what about people? How's they're like - open or close, cold and warm, positive or depressive?
>i'm asking about Brazil in general, not only favellas
>>
>>72501575
What business did you have in such a place?
>>
>Is it a favellas from Brasil?
yes
>Is it true, that it is kind of the most dangerous places in the world?
i don't believe in this. favelas sometimes can be more safety than the wealthy parts of the cities. the drug dealers don't accept some crimes in favela, like rape and stealing. they are punished with dead sentence. in wealthy parts of the cities you can steal, be arrested, pay some money pledge and steal again.
>are this places a property of persons, who live there or it is a property of government? Or maybe this places were built not legally and without any property papers?
it's relative. there is a legal institute in Brazil called the acquisitional prescription. If a person invades the property of another person, even illegally, and exercises the property right without opposition of the true owner for a set period of time, which is generally fifteen years, that person becomes the legitimate owner.
>What population of this places?
it's relative as well. favelas are like miny cities. there are everything you can imagine, even banks.
>What percent of brasilians live in favellas?
i don't know, but huge favelas like this one - almost cities - only exist in rio, são paulo and bahia, as far as i know.
>How much square meter cost in favellas?
it's relative. i've already seem a house in favela of rio that cost more than 1 million, but it has a great view of the city
>Is it true, that police never comes to favellas?
in the last years, police has been occupied several number of favelas, especially in rio, but it might exist some more dangerous. i don't know exactly.
>Have you ever been in favellas?
in those huge ones, never. but in a couple of small ones, yeah.
>>
>>72503290
>Guys, do you enjoy regular life in Brazil?
i do. it would be better if i have more money.
There's any special "weird" things that you appriciate?
i don't remember anything now
>And one more question - what about people? How's they're like - open or close, cold and warm, positive or depressive?
in general, brazilians are open, especially in the north, northeast and rio. sometimes, it's kind annoying the way they are happy. it seems they don't care about the problems. in states like são paulo, paraná and rio grande do sul people are more close, but not that close, like in european countries. they just pretend to be european

America does their own thing and is now the sole global superpower

That's good but that's too much stereotypical and boring. Everyone knows that.
But when i'm thinking of Brazil.. Well, i don't know much.
Also, i have an inner idea that "successfull european people" are usually pretty boring because they're just enjoy that "comfort life" and not trying to find something more while people like you have a motivation to find other way to happiness in this life. That makes your national character more interesting in my eyes.

Luso-brazilian here.
>Is it a favellas from Brasil?
Yes, is it.
>Is it true, that it is kind of the most dangerous places in the world?
Not for residents. There is a code imposed by the drug dealers forbidden any crime inside the favelas.
>are this places a property of persons, who live there or it is a property of government? Or maybe this places were built not legally and without any property papers?
Mostly are illegally occupied.
>What population of this places?
A little bit of everything. Workers, local shop owners, musicians, drug dealers, thieves...
>What percent of brasilians live in favellas?
11 million people according a study from 2011, almost 6% of brazilian population.
>How much square meter cost in favellas?
No idea. But I think that the price of some favelas like Rocinha (Rio de Janeiro) could be high.
>Is it true, that police never comes to favellas?
No.
>Have you ever been in favellas?
Yes. I did a social work in some São Paulo favelas for a while. I've never had a problem.

>favelas are safer than wealthier parts of the cities
AAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAAHAHAHAHAHAUAHUAHEUHUHEUEHAUEHUEAHUEAHEAUEHAUEAHE

You heard it here first, folks.
Favelas are perfectly safe and those liveleak videos set in favelas are totally fake, Brazil goes against the simple fact that poorer regions are always more violent and the stats are fake too, damn those evil cops driving away all our drug dealing freedom fighters!
>>
>>72514705
Dude, as I said, for residents a favela is not dangerous. If you are a stranger and the dealers mistrust you, probably you'll be raped in every possible way. But the locals live in safety as long as they does not disrupt the "business".
>>
>>72514826
You will only get in trouble if you're a creepy nerd. A normal person or a gringo tourist will be treated normally. People buy drugs and guns in favelas all the time.
>>
>>72514826
Uhuh, the weekly shootouts between rival gangs and daily hits are perfectly safe as long as you don't leave your hut or look at the wrong person.

>>72514911
Yeah, those creeper tourists getting shot ON SIGHT because they took a wrong turn totally had it coming, they disturbed the natural order of the favela utopia and should've known better.

Stop trying to normalize this shit to make Brazil look less shit for the gringos please.
>>
>>72515084

uh, you're applying surreal shit that happens in big ass cities like São Paulo and Rio to all favelas in the country.
The neighborhood i live is half favela (the other hald is just regular low-middle class) and no big deal aside from exceptional times were shit really hits the senpai (like when they hold bailes funk here, but it was already imposed by the local drug dealer that this must not happen again considering last time the shock police was called).
I lived all my life here and never really felt in danger, actually, the only people i hear that were ever killed here were drug-users that didn't payed the drugs, or rival drug dealers, but this don't really happen anymore since the late 2000's. (I live in a medium-sized city in São Paulo countryside)
>>
>>72516056
It doesn't matter if you felt safe or not, favelas are dangerous shitholes and you would be safer anywhere else, it's absolutely ridiculous to say that favelas are safer than wealthy areas and the fact that you so casually talk how ONLY indebted drug users and rivals were killed in your neighborhood speaks a lot about how out of touch with reality you are.

No, being friends with drug dealers isn't safer than living in a decent place and it disgusts me how casual people are with this scum, do something useful for once and lynch these terrorists.
>>
>>72516236

but they are safe
most of my friends are from the low-middle class/middle-class neighborhood close by, and one was already robbed on the front of his house literally
why would the trombadinhas and noias rob people here -a place where half the population probably don't have any more goods than the bandits themselves, and they would surely call the police here, bothering the local drug dealer and putting the trombadinha in question in high risk of being killed for disturbing the order- instead of places like a wealthy area?
i sure feel safe af walking on the wealthier places during day, but i would feel as much in danger (if not more) than i already feel walking on my own neighborhood at night
turns out drug dealers are better at keeping the order than the police, well, no shit
>>
>>72516405

quick addition:

>but they are safe

i'm refering to the ones around my area, not ALL the favelas on the country
>>
so what happened recently to a tourist from argentina in rio? according to the news they literally took a wrong turn in their car and the favelados opened fire on them. literally 5 seconds in a favela can cost you your life?
>>
>>72518814
Idk about argi tourist and i'm glad if its true. But yeah you could die if you go in some wrong places as in many parts of the world.
>>
>>72518814
I'm just doing damage control but that became big news exactly because it's not that common, favelas, niggers and favela culture still need to be purged though.

>>72519030

>Is it a favellas from Brasil?
>Is it true, that it is kind of the most dangerous places in the world?
I guess?
>Or maybe this places were built not legally and without any property papers?
Yeah.
>What population of this places?
Favelados. Think of the lowest lower class scum you have in your country, they're those.(bydlo?)
>What percent of brasilians live in favellas?
No idea but really depends on your definition of favelas, afaik the governamental agency that keeps track of that stuff uses a weird name and criteria for them.
>How much square meter cost in favellas?
No idea, at least speaking for Rio, I guess there's a big difference between living in one on the south or in one on the north/West zone.
>Is it true, that police never comes to favellas?
Depends on what you mean with "comes"
There are police outposts in a few, but in the ones that dont have those, police presence is restricted to operations on them
>Have you ever been in favellas?
Why the fuck would I ever go to one

Hey don't worry about "damage control" this is not banter I am just curious. This shit scares me even though I am not there.
Apparently an Italian tourist was shot dead in the same favelada. Is it right in the middle of Rio? Apparently they were looking for Cristo Redentor but got a bullet (not sure should I say kek?)
http://g1.globo.com/rio-de-janeiro/noticia/turista-argentina-baleada-ao-entrar-por-engano-em-favela-do-rio-segue-internada-em-estado-grave.ghtml
>>
Morro dos Prazeres it is called?
>>
>>72519520
I don't know exactly where it is but you got the article right, it also says that the criminals used gloves to steal the Italian's shit which makes me think that this wasn't just a case of trigger-happy niggers killing tourists by mistake but that they actually did it on purpose, niggers gonna nig and I blame the government for pretending like these favelados don't deserve to get purged. Fucking parasites.
