It does. Granted I'm center right and do not wish to see the natsocs (the actual ones) win in any event, but in the same vein I have zero interest in seeing communism here either. I guess in that aspect I'm somewhat similar to you in staying somewhere in the rather broad center. Of course that doesn't really exist anymore due to polarization, but I can pretend. Still, due to that same polarization I do not see us ever reaching a solution that truly comes from the political "center" in this country.

Going to go ahead and drop the bluster here, that could apply to a decent chunk of the American population. IMO if by some impossible chance this country did decide to go down a leftist route it would either be incredibly de-centralized, or very centralized. Either of which could lead to bad things. Even then a democratic centralist approach would almost certainly mean a vanguard party in charge, and fuck that shit.
