How do you celebrate Irish St. Patrick's Day traditionally? I want to celebrate it authentically, not just swear green clothing and get drunk and pass out

>I want to celebrate it authentically
You can't. You're not actually Irish or was raised here. What you got is what you get. Embrace it.
I'm not Irish or a degenerate I don't celebrate it

Forcibly convert some local heathens.

What I want to tell every herritge-merican is that it doesn't matter if their ancestors were irish, if they raised their children in a place geographically unrelated to ireland, and in a community where actual irish are in a minority, an they don't interac with the society of Ireland then they just aren't Irish. And with every generation that passes this becomes more obvious to anyone.

Attend a parade. Done.

why do americans celebrate others holidays? you arent irish boy so dont pretend
Saint Patrick's Day is nothing but a stupid day promoted by multinational companies for consummerist superficial faggots so the beer and green-textile industry can get richer.
Irish are faggots as well, they don't deserve a special day anyway.

That's how we really celebrate it though, except we don't wear green.
Some of us go out to parades but they're always shit and people always get stabbed at them so it's not worth it.

No St pats day is an excuse to get drunk and do something different with friends and strangers. Why is no fun allowed in Europe.
>>72345092
>needs excuses getting drunk
>wonders why fun is not allowed in Europe

Go for a walk in the woods, reflect on yourself, have a peaceful day and throw some stones at a church or at Christians.
Fun fact: The "snakes" that ole Saint patty banished were actually the native pagans who were hunted out of their homes and were forced to either leave the country or be killed.

oh that is not nice to the pagans at all

It's mostly about the parade. In all sincerity, maximum authenticity would demand that the parade includes at least one tractor and members of a semi-successful underage GAA team.
