Has anyone on /int/ ever been to countries or territories "outside

I went to Tonga, I guess that counts. Probably the least developed of any major Pacific islands. All that really struck me was the poverty and broken infrastructure.

I swam out to here from where I took the photo. We took a taxi to a local beach with Broken windows. This is on the second island, near a town called Vavau

OP, Vanuatu is actually a fairly common holiday destination for Kiwi's and Aussie's. The other P&O cruises from Auckland and Sydney regularly go there.

I realized actually that the pictures I posted make it look better than it was. The second island was much comfier than the one where the capital is. There was a homeless girl selling flowers in full view of the Kings Palace. There was a lot of dirt and garbage lying about, but the people were lovely.

Some time. I've been to most of the main South Pacific Islands, other than Samoa and Tahiti.I want to visit Tahiti and Easter Island sometime. Niue is easy to get to, Tokelau I think less so.

If you ever come over to AUS/NZ it makes sense to get a cheap flight for a Pacific holiday. Fiji can be as cheap as $200 return.
