French posters of /int/, have you ever eaten Brillat-Savarin cheese? If you havent then eat it. Its amazing. What are some French cheeses that you prefer?
Ate this Bleu de Bresse cheese that is just as amazing.

emental, compté, roblochon, brie, camembert, goat cheese, blue cheese
This Coulommiers cheese is fantastic as well.
>>72287665
Camembert is top tier.
I probably ate some at some point, can't remember.
I for one prefer those:
- chaource
- comté (aged)
- beaufort (aged)
- cantal (mid-age)
- salers (mid-age)
- saint-nectaire (mid-age)
- morbier (mid-age)
- bleu d'Auvergne
- roquefort
camembert and brie are overrated

Bleu d Auvergne is amazing. The one that I had a pungent "bite".
Bleu de Gex is great too.
>>72287921
mid-age and aged laguiole are great too, the same kind of cheese than cantal and salers
>>72287519
Of course. I worked in cheese shop a few months ago and I got to eat a lot of cheeses. We had like over 400 different cheeses and dairy products, shit was crazy.
You should try some goat cheeses like Selles sur Cher and especially Rocamadour.
If you like bloomy rind cheeses you should try Chaource you'll love it. St Nectaire is godlike too.

>compté
>>72288834
roblochon is pretty bad too.

Mascarpone is almost exclusively used to make desserts afaik. So guess you can try to make a tiramisu?
>>72289120
You could make a cheesecake.
I eat it like I eat my crème fraîche. With a big spoon.
>>72289229
They have Stilton, which is surprisingly pretty good actually.
>>72289253
>>72289304
I'll eat it with grandmas sweets I guess.
This Cabichou is a real good goat cheese.

Here in America we have a great cheese called Limburger. It smells like feet but it goes great on rye bread.
>>72289229
we have a lot of different types possibly even the most hard cheeses of any country in the world
we used to have a lot more though before ww2, they had to make only one type of cheese because of rationing, it crippled the industry
we dont do soft cheeses as much though
theres a real fuckload of them

I love the salty taste of Chaource.
>>72289554
Have you ever had Red Windsor? Its sort of odd but it tastes great.
Cheshire is another good English cheese.
Another excellent American cheese is Redhawk.
>>72289888
no, im more of a cheddar person because i smoke
looks cool though
>>72290731
Cheddar is the best British cheese. Probably my favorite cheese in general.
>>72289784
it's cow milk, though it almost tastes like sheep milk
>all french people love cheese and are expert on it
Why are americans retarded ?
A very based French cheese. Pungent, creamy, and spreadable blue cheese that's fantastic on bread with some jam or honey.
Camembert and Roquefort are top tier as well.
France and Spain best cheese nations
>>72289888
They tricked you, dude.
This isn't cheese, it's human meat.
>>72296498
How did you conclude this:
>are expert on it
