How polish language sounds for you guys? Really sounds only like sz, cz, rz, ch stuff?

sounds like sophisticated Russian
>>
>>72282788

Polish language is older than Russian one
>>
>>72282989
Nah, Russian words have retained most of the original meanings, while Polish ones have been corrupted.

bardzo - very; used to be brzo and mean quickly
tylko - only; used to be toliko mean 'so much, this much'
etc.

and it still does in more conservative Slavic languages

Polish is such a random mess that many etymologies are unknown or simply make no sense (just look up kobieta on wiktionary). When exactly the language got distorted so badly is unknown, but I'm sure it was later than the emergence of Russian, considering the large number of direct borrowings from German that exist in no other Slavic language.

What does that even mean?

Polish is the Danish language of North-Germanic, while Russian is Swedish.

western (?) Russia, the only one russian dialect which is perfect to romanization

a phonetical Polish-like lyrics of the song:
Letu osień smotrit wsled
Leta wnoẃ sašło na niet
Daj mnie znać štoby nie praspać

Kak aciec siem let názad
Ja uwižu zwiezdapad
Daj mnie znać štoby nie praspać

Znowa bjot w ladoni doždź
Priama z samych zwiozd
Dzikí zwiozdný charawod stroit w serce most

Kak starał sia nie zabył
Kiem ja stał i kiem ja był
Daj mnie znać štoby nie praspać

Prazwieniat kałakała, štob wiesna za nami šła..

>>
>>72288959
Is it even bad? Your pronunciation is well known as harsh, but it's mutually understanding when it comes to written Polish if you're Russian. However i personally understand almost all in spoken. Our pronunciation is gracile and we are the biggest when it comes to the amount.

>>72288985

slobbering lazy russian

Russian and Polish are like Swedish and German.

We share only some words together. Nothing more.

not really a surprise tbf
>>

I understand Russian more than I do Polish desu, just look at recent Slav threads and you'll see far more word matches between Slovenian and Russian than between either and Polish. That's cause Polish has taken a completely different evolutionary course than all oher Slavic languages and has even undergone an extra vowel shift.

>>
>>72295961
They've lost most of their noun cases, yes.

The Torlakian dialect of Serbo-Croatian, which is spoken on the Serbian-Bulgarian border, also does this somewhat, having something like 4 cases, while Bulgarian has 1-2-3 (there are a lot of traces of cases)

All other Slavic languages have either 6 or 7. (the seventh being the vocative)
>>
>>72296986
But they also preserved many kinds of original Slavic tenses as I know
>>
>>72282687
I love Polish because it's cute and polsks sound like snek kings

How the fuck can you even compete.
>>
>>72282687
I don't exactly know what the problem with the Polish language but it could sure as hell slow down a little and take it easy with the consonants. On the linguistic highway, Polish is a coked-up angry driver going well over the speed limit, erratically swerving all over the place. It needs to pull over and take a nap; sober up a little. Fuck me.
>>
>>72282687
Russian for me sounds like a teenage boy with high-pitched voice trying to imitate an adult.
It also sounds extremely peasantish.

It feels weird and unnatural. Simple language for simple people.

Why is every poster from Slovenia a pedantic prescriptivist? Language is a living thing and no sane linguist treats the concept of linguistic purity seriously.
also
>bardzo - very; used to be brzo and mean quickly
We can use bystro for quickly.
>tylko - only; used to be toliko mean 'so much, this much'
We use tyle for that.
Not much of a difference.

>>72298620
That English translation is pretty awful.

for some reason Slovenians on this board against anything Polish.

Also, your alphabet is atrocious, just horrible, still haven't gotten used to it. Y in a Slavic language? Must have been composed by Hitler himself.

that one actually is

Dec says Slovenia is his synonym for Poland at one point, so he was probably Polish. Weird last name for a Slovene, Dec, even though it means strong/real man in Slovene.
