What's holding back gay rights in developed Asia? It's not religion or lack of education like it seems to be in the rest of the world.
I would have thought a place like Japan would have the majority of population support gay marriage

Westerners give gays rights out of guilt because they beat them up/killed them for centuries.
Asians don't give them rights because we never abused them in the first place.
To an extend is this >>72187992, for example even though Gay marriage is legal in South Africa that doesn't necessarily mean that gay people rights dignity are respected there, there is actually a lot of acts of violence against gay people in South Africa, especially lesbians, even though South Africa was the fifth country (in 2006) to legalize it.
it would be like seeing a map like pic related and then assuming that a country like the United States would have the highest life expectancy in the world just because they spend a lot on health (but in reality the United States has about the same life expectancy as Chile which spends way less in health compared to the United States and achieves similar levels of outcomes), I guess the same applies to gay rights and other things
There are no jews in asia
