this is probably bait, but I will bite. South Korea and other advanced Asian countries are a great place to visit as a tourist, but its a terrible place to live as a resident.

They are a hyper competitive society where students have to study 12+ hours for exams so they can get into a good school. After you graduate, shit doesn't end. You have to work overtime in many companies, even if it is not needed. Everyone is afraid of losing their job so they don't leave until the boss decide to leave. This means pretending to work for 3-4 hours.

Then you get to go home right... wait, actually you don't because your boss wants to go drinking after work, and you are pressured to go. So now its 2 in the morning and you have work the next day. Might be fun every once in a while, but it happens frequently.

I don't think I've ever seen a Korean person irl.

Only Asians I ever see are flips or chinks.
