I have this really pretentious friend who bought me XO Deaubonne Cognac for my birthday. I thought it was a bit too spendy, and he went on about having to "experience it out of a 'proper' Cognac Snifter" and that way I would "pick up on hints of rose petals and freshly trodden Lyonnaise fennel blossoms".
