I used to live in Detroit, when I was going to college at Wayne State. It's mostly just really depressing to be there. There's some nice neighborhoods, but god, between those areas you just felt like giving up on life sometimes.

And then on the other hand the abandoned blocks were usually quite nice in the springtime, when all the wildflowers were in bloom.
