The famine affected multiple Soviet peoples, not only Ukrainians. And it was probably caused by poor food logistics, not intentional.

So, while it is a tragedy and the Soviet government should be blamed for that, I don't see it as a genocide.

Recognising genocides is just diplomatic virtue signalling. Anyway that particular famine killed Russians and Kazahks as well and there's no decisive evidence it was manmade.
