I don't mind brazilian Portuguese, as long it isn't completly broken and can doesn't look gringo

It sounds the way Portuguese would sound like if it was spoken by European and white people.

I think Portuegese is one of the nicest languages.

Bossa nova is one of the best genres to come out of Brazil. It's extremely nice in melodies

Why is Brazilian Portuguese so much easier to understand than Portuguese from Portugal?
>>71774974
Our vowels are waay more open and we talk slower in general
PT-BR > Spanish > PT-PT.

Spanish >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Portuguese, and that's common sense.
>>71776134
Common sense is wrong
>>71769678
I don't hate it. It's basically the summer version of Portuguese.
The open vowels do lend themselves to sounding retarded and obnoxious when you speak too loud/fast/excited, much like Spanish, but when spoken softly and calmly it sounds sincere and honest, unlike Spanish, which sounds dirty.

PT-BR (Caipira dialect>carioca>gaucho>nordestino)>>>>Spanish>>>>>>>>>PT-PT

I'm sorry, I don't mean to offend anyone. All romance languages sound a bit grating to me because of how loud and open they are.
French does close a bit more and Italian gets around it by singing instead of speaking, but it still annoys me a bit, really.
