Why is Latin American Spanish ugly?
There's this qt spaniard girl at work, and her Spanish sounds pleasant.
But when our warehouse guys speak to each other in Spanish I grit my teeth because it sounds horrible. Our warehouse guys are Ecuadorians or Peruvians or something
>also tfw i have to work today
stupid government job
>>71673783
No, really.
Latin American Spanish doesn't even sound like Spanish. I thought our warehouse guys were Flips at first.
>>71673749
>warehouse guys
Well, there is the answer. Educated people has a nice spanish everywhere.
>>71673829
Lol all of them have university degrees. They ask me about promotions constantly, especially the ones with IT degrees.
>>71673915
>all of them have university degrees
Thanks now I feel shit about graduating soon, thank Christ I have a decent network
Yeah I don't like it either
Can't pronounce the z for shit
>>71674153
Desu some of our warehouse guys have degrees in computer science and finance.
Networking is key. A grill I graduated with had a 2.x gpa and she got a job at a big oil company because she knew people there.
>>71673749
>stupid government job
What does this mean?
>>71673749
Why do you think? Its the same reason that Liberian English is shit or why lower class in general speak terribly.
There's not a "Latin American Spanish", every country has several dialects of Spanish.
>>71674801
It's a government project, and we're falling behind schedule so they made us come in this weekend
They pay us OT, but still.
It only really sucks for our warehouse guys I guess. I spend 8 hours a day browsing 4chan for the most part.
spain spanish is utter garbage
>>71674754
That's real sad, man
>>71674874
Well to be honest Spanish from Spain is a lot more clear and easy to understand than most Latin American dialects. I'm in the early days of trying to learn and I have a tough time understanding the Mexicans, Argentinians, and Peruvians I know. I met a Spanish guy and it was very clear.
>>71674919
Have you ever hear yourself talking? Fucking monkey
>>71675188
>speak loud
>weird z's and x
>anoying intonation
>>71675278
Not him but:
>loud
You people too.
>weird z
We don't have speech impediments like in South American, we can ACTUALLY pronounce the theta sound.
>and x
I don't event know what you mean
>annoying intonation
Spanish from Spain is one of the plainest sounding languages in the planet, what intonation are you talking about, you monkey?
>>71673749
I guess it is like comparing the "Queen's English" (Spain's Spanish), with Jamaican or "Ebonics" (which would be Latin American Spanish).
To be completely honest here, I haven't heard much Jamaican English, but my guess is that it is horrendous
>>71675686
Yeah it's bad. The worst is Liberian English give that a listen.
>>71675686
If GTA IV was right, then Jamaican English is incomprehensible

The sad thing is, this guy is being clear and speaking slow. If you go there it is way faster and incomprehensible.
>Latin American Spanish
There's as many differences between Argentinan and Mexican as there is with Spain's
You really can't talk about Latin American Spanish.
>tfw argentinian best accent
>spaniardfags will try to deny this
>>71676082
Rioplatense in the Montevidean variant (light porteño) is the apex of the spanish languaje.

>lisp
Memes.
The ones who actually have the lisp are you and the people of Cádiz.
>Lisp: speech impediment that manifests in the impossibility of pronouncing both the "theta" and "s" sound. The only territory in the Spanishsphere that doesn't suffer from lisp is the plateau and north of Spain
It must be sad to not be able to say "Zaragoza goza de cielos sublimes y sus gentes son serenas" without dropping every "th" or every "s" sound.
>>71678479
