Why do non-Americans struggle with grasping the concept of personal responsibility?
>>
There is no individual. There is only the collective, the nation, the state. There can be no personal responsibility because there is no personhood, there are merely serfs tirelessly working to expand the state to ever greater power in the eternal struggle between all.

The Bush bailouts were legitimately bullshit, and most Republican voters turned on him for that. That's why he left office with such terrible approval ratings. It also prompted a tea party movement to oust many of the fucks in Congress who went along with it.

Republican voters will actually punish their elected officials if they abuse the system. Liberals just start riots and whine for a few months.

The only fault with the Banks is we never should have bailed them out, but the reason for the housing crisis was still largely the government's fault.

Clinton signed a Bill which agreed to back morgage loans to poor people with terrible credit, and the banks who had just been given a safety net went crazy with offering out loans to retards who clearly would never pay them back, but morgage bonds were seen as such a safe investment that it continued until the bubble finally popped.

Basically, the government told banks they not longer had personal responsibility for handing out shit loans, so obviously they exploited it.

If Humans weren't competitive advantageous creatures like all organisms, we'd still be living as nomads constantly at the will of nature and suffering would still exist everywhere every day until we were all finally wiped out by an exploding sun.

Literally nothing would be different in terms of ethics and suffering would still exist, probably to an even greater extent if we lacked the ambition to conatantly compete with one another.

>>71447045

We never desire to acquire American nationality.
For us, American nationality is not as valuable as Pakistani nationality.
Dangerous gun society, unhealthy people, medical systems pursuing only economic exploitation, riots, looting, all have not reached the level of civilized countries.

If you are rich, you can do a reasonable living, but you can do such things in Thailand.
>>
>>71447044
This is non-argument.

Sure the American population is larger than the one of Germany but so is its economy, disproportionatly even. So you guys could actually afford to have a way better healthcare system for the average person for the same cost. So, tell me again where is the pragmatism here?

Why do you insist on paying more for a demonstrately inferior system as shown by pretty much every developed country on earth when you are paying for Jamal 's ER visit anyway because he didn' t go the the doctor with that infected blister due to the lack of insurance?

This is not pragmatic. This is not economical. This is not rational. This is crazy.

One of the major things talked about when dividing up the country into counties like this is the fact that the red area is significantly more diverse. Many people living drastically different lives.

Blue area is significantly more similar in lifestyle and demographic. To a large degree, it's showing the threat of tyranny by majority. This, fairly homogeneous, group in blue is big enough in number to potentially push onto everyone else federal law they see as invalid.

Having an electoral college and creating maps to see if candidates have a broad or narrow appeal are about monitoring that tyranny by majority.

>>71447576

>>
>>71447635
>the threat of tyranny by majority

>>
>>71447668
As you move across a region things change pretty significantly. The general terrain, natural resources and soil changes the type of work and industry that takes place in those areas. Primarily for those blue and pink collar outside of the urban centers. Areas of logging, farming, mines, fishing, etc. The orange grove's of America's south and the fishing communities of new England are not very similar.

That being said, urban centers are different as well, but there's a couple things at play here. Urban centers are significantly more tied in to one another. Much higher usage and availability of the internet, TV and the like. This means they tend to develope culturally more in parallel, while loggers in Michigan and farmers in Nebraska have more divergent cultures.

And the basic structure of cities, and cost of doing business there, means that it tends to be dominated by service, retail and managerial jobs. This is where a lot of the white collar work happens. And white collar work is much more similar to other white collar work, while blue collar work can be much more diverse.

I'm not sure if you've ever worked as a project manager or director for a company, but while the actual industry of your company matters and knowing it is important, management ultimately doesn't change much. So maybe your logging company working out of Maine has management in Boston. The white collar votes dem, the blue and pink in Farmington, Maine are voting red. Or another company, the blue and pink collar out in the orange groves near Waycross are voting red, but the white collar back in Atlanta is voting blue. Fact is Farmington and Waycross are more different than Boston and Atlanta.

And one issue I haven't touched on, is the physical landmass is just plain bigger. You would generally expect a smaller mass of land to be less diverse than a bigger mass of land. That should be fairly obvious.
>>
>>71447427
Most people live in the blue areas.
>>
>>71447562

>57 hours per week

This is considered hard work? Might want to talk to some farmers, see what they think about this. My grandfather worked sun up to sun down on the farm into his 70s for basically pennies and food on the table. I get the feeling you haven't hung out with many C level people, but this just isn't the case at all, they all have their wind down time, you have to.

Working a lot or hard doesn't directly translate to pay, just reality. I know a guy that works 80 hours a week, but makes more than a lot of C level execs I know and I know people who do jack shit who also make shitloads of cash. Yes, it's more tilted to one side just because there's more people on it. As someone who grew up in a small rust belt town and moved to a city for school, there are plenty of people on both sides who don't understand that different things work for different population densities, and things that are problems in one place might actually just be a part of recreation in another and therefore not cause any real trouble.

Lets wait for the end of Trumps investigation and see what comes out. Its going to be very easy to find proof of millions of illegal votes.
>>
>>71449652
the shithole that is california is enough proof on its own
I would know, I live in it. Either way no matter if crooked has a 10 million lead over trump, the electoral college keeps it in check and gives the good states like arizona, utah, and texas a chance

It's been a thing ever since the country was first founded and has been prevalent throughout our entire history. A lot of Americas best literature has that divide featured in it.

It's exacerbated by us inheriting the anglo cultural trait of despising density. You can trace that back to the social dynamic in medieval Britain and how it was different from continental Europe.
>>
>>71449671
All im saying is wait for the investigation. This type of voter fraud is unprecedented and must be investigated.

From my experience Americans struggle with the concept of responsibility beyond personal responsibility, and their personal responsibility generally consists of knowingly not giving a shit about their own security.

From all the cultural imperialism coming from the US it's impossible not to. I know for a fact that we don't have hicknecks driving circles in the mud in huge pickup trucks all weekend long.

Europeans have no clue what the US is like. They use the media to tell them. But of course, Americans are stupid redneck fox news brainwashed slaves...right?

The fact that you don't think that sounds fun and awesome as fuck means we could never really be friends.

My sister planned a trip and is gonna drag all of us to europe. I suggested we take an American trip to several states and they just laughed at me. Do people not realize we have more culture per state than they do per country?
>>

Im saying we dont know what happens because right now its just accusations. I expect a full investigation to be launched very soon.
>>
>>71449917
It's wastetful, polluting and absolutely braindead. If it were at least tied to a gain and display of skill, but it's just completely pointless. And that's what I mean by Americans not caring for responsibility. It's as if they were convinced you had to do shit as dumb as possible or otherwise your freedoms aren't properly exercised.

this is an especially weird claim to make in today's political climate, where literally the opposite of what you are describing is playing out on a national scale.

Your opinion on it is irrelevant to the fact you are a complete fucking retard if you think US states are more different to each other than European countries with centuries of established history languages architecture and just about everything.

It's not about being cookie cutter. You don't realize it but even in the most recent century all of our actions are going to make the USA go down in history (it's already happening) as the country that governs essentially the whole world; no nation has a story similar to ours nor has any nation conquered the world on a global scale as we have. I take pride in that.
>>71450068

That is nothing to do with the topic. I don't care if you feel the US is better than Europe that is irrelevant. To say each state is more different to each other than European countries is moronic to the extreme.

He is an honor to us all.

I first became an "extreme right winger" opposing all but very basic government functions back when I first moved out of my parent's house and made less than 1k per month. In fact, I was impassioned more about it then when compared to now probably.

There's something about going on your own, even when it's not easy, and coming out on the other side being able to believe in your own ability.

We destabilized the region on purpose, retard. God, you'd think Germany would figure out the basic components of colonialism 400 years after the Dutch and Portuguese started it, but nah, here you are bumbling along like an uneducated food.

No one is forcing you to take refugees. Your political elites, however, think that you native German citizens are too retarded to breed and replace yourselves enough to support a social welfare state. That's why your native birthrate is so low.

That's why you're letting them in. Your government literally believes that you are too incompetent to self-perpetuate your country.

the hanging dead bodies are an example of mexico's concern for personal responsibility, even in illegal settings. You see, the drug cartels want you to know that if you do something out of boundaries you will get punished, which will make you a much more responsible person next time you treat with criminals
