In what way? America is still arsehurt about those two little towers whereas the Japanese managed to start up an entire industry of modern comics and animation around the events.
There is a huge range of works addressing things like nuclear war, raditation, the bombings, etc. covering drama, comedy, social commentary, criticism, etc.
You cannot compare 9/11 with the nuclear bombardment of Japanese cities. Holy fuck, Americans are so goddamn obnoxious and self important. Two towers were not enough.

But I have several friends who came from Hiroshima to Tokyo.
They often said “people who grew up in Hiroshima are messed up in the head for nuke” as a joke.

But it's hard to say that kind of things on public broadcasting. Also, It's too old to laugh.
