This is what the "canopy" looks like for a temperate rainforest. The trees are temperate evergreens, so they have needles instead of broad leaves, like tropical rainforest trees.

This is a rainforest in Iran, near the Caspian Sea. The weather is a bit warmer, so, there are more trees with leaves.
