>always thought us and the Americans were similar
>find out a bunch of odd things they do that we don't
>Americans refrigerate bread
>Americans wash their hair with hand soap
>Americans don't celebrate Easter
>Americans wear shoes indoors
>Americans clap after they say grace for dinner
>Americans write their names on their underwear bands
>Americans put salt on watermelon
>Americans say the pledge if allegiance before watching a movie then clap when the movie finishes
The worst part of this is that I wouldn't be surprised if you are being serious

I've personally witnessed many Americans doing these things
>clapping after a movie
Never understood this, very strange
>>71404454
i've only been to america like 3 times and i've seen all of these except the salt on watermelon thing
>>71405590
i'd understand if it were at a special screening where the actors, directors, or other people who worked on it were watching it as well, but what's the point in a regular cinema? applauding to the guy operating the projector for not fucking up?
>>71404454
good thread
we also shart in mart

>Americans put salt on watermelon
If you've never tried this I just feel bad for you.

Don't you ever feel a special sensation in your loins after watching Pacific Rim?
>>71404454
I wear shoes indoors and I refrigerate my bread (duh) and I write my name in my underwear to be h

>>71405590
I've seen Brits do it on a movie.
>>71404454
Do Americans celebrate Easter?
>>71405590
I've only ever seen it once here. The entire cinema appluaded at the of "The King's Speech". Fuclking amazing movie
>be american
>suck a dick

nothing wrong with washing your hair with soap
too much shampoo is harmful.
>>71410857

>>Americans refrigerate bread
You're only going to see that in very hot+humid areas where bread molds very easily if not refrigerated.
>>Americans wash their hair with hand soap
Some guys will just use soap, people all over used soap before hair specific shampoos hit the market. Everyone I know or in my families uses shampoo
>>Americans don't celebrate Easter
Now you're being dumb. Why would one of the most christian heavy countries not celebrate their savior rising from the dead?
>>Americans wear shoes indoors
depends on who runs the house. Some people do, some people don't. When you walk into someone's house you either ask them if they want you to take your shoes off, or you just do whatever they do.
>>Americans clap after they say grace for dinner
we're a meme now, boys. Obviously this doesn't happen.
>>Americans write their names on their underwear bands
It's a thing mostly for kids, especially when there's going to be communal clothes washing (think summer camp.) Want to make sure you end up with your own.
>>Americans put salt on watermelon
I wouldn't know.
>>Americans say the pledge if allegiance before watching a movie then clap when the movie finishes
No pledge. The clapping is especially popular in areas with lots of blacks. On the internet you read about americans clapping after movies and shit, but growing up in america, we always talked about how that was specifically a black thing.

Honestly i refrigerate my bread becuase i just want it to last longer
>Canadians drink milk out of bags
>>71411005
this
there's really no problem with refrigerating bread
>he doesn't buy bread in bulk and freeze all but one loaf for later
American mocking is getting back to 2013 levels on /int/
I seem to remember them getting proper angry about it before though, now they can take it.

Pacific Rim was awful
>>71411133
Someone's upset they weren't invited
>>71411133
Only if you hate raw fun and awesomeness.
>>71411177
It was an amateur film with a large cgi budget, the acting was especially awful

What's the deal with "saying grace" anyway?
>>71411014
We drink wine out of bags so I don't see a huge difference in all honesty.
