Because of the one child policy, Chinese demographics are terminal. Ideally, you need to be shaped like a pyramid, so that young working people can take care of old people. This current generation of Chinese children, as soon as their parents retire, each of them will be supporting 6 adults (two parents and 4 grandparents) along with however many kids you create. If your wife doesn't work, you will support your in-laws also (12 adults total). Very few Chinese have siblings to share the burden with.

Almost as bad as Japanese, but unlike the Japanese, they won't be able to use robots to take care of their elderly population.
