One of my best mate is from Bavaria, he's got typical German facial features ( strong nose and jaw) but he is quite swarthy ( brown hair and eyes and tanned skin from staying outside rock climbing all the time ). While I was in Spain I've been often mistaken for a German even if my eyes are brown and my hairs reddish.
