I know you're fucking lying. Even in the Northeast, which has centuries of history, you need to drive 20 minutes out of manhattan to reach housing like this. Stop bullshitting.

The actual historic streetcar suburbs are pretty small, and the cheaper ones were NOT built with brick like you want europeans to believe.

You're lying again. Ill admit more of the houses were brick than I expected, but that only within the city limits. Everything else bungalows and weird cul de sacs. You just need to look at the map and see where the grids finish.

this neighbourhood is within the city limits and is 10 km out from downtown
>>
>>71135591

I didn't say they all were. I said most were. Are you thick?
>>
>>71135632
Saying most of the housing stock within the orbital highway is brick is a flat out lie. You posted a 25 mile radius from downtown, and the brick urbanity ends like 5-10km out
>>
>>71135683

>Saying most of the housing stock within the orbital highway is brick is a flat out lie.
>brick urbanity ends like 5-10km out

No it doesn't. Inside of 270, brick homes outnumber wood framed by manyfold. There is a transition from Brick to wood framed and wood framed begin to outnumber brick at around 12 miles out or so. Again, we are talking averages.
>>
>>71135758
nah fuck you there are probably only a handful of brick houses past where you live but you're pretending like its an even mix

the brick houses were all built prior to ww2 on streetcar lines, they're highly limited
>>
>>71130877
>T.wooden houses

>>
>>71135832

Except you are totally wrong. Like I said, the transition taxes place around 270, which is about 12 miles out. There are wood homes within that circle, but they are vastly outnumbered by brick. Inside of the river des peres, which is about 7 miles out, nearly all of the homes are brick.

>150 for food

>26 for internet
I sure am able to save money
>>
>>71137623

I know you would. You'd like that system because you take out more than you put in. You are a leech and you like it that way.
>>
>>71137638
i've been working for a year, that's not bad for a starting wage

if you want to pretend it's minimum wage (it isn't) go ahead
>>
>>71137669

Then do what is necessary to get a better job or move to an area with a lower cost of living. You have the power to improve your situation and you aren't.
>>
>>71137678
um i dont receive any financial aid at all m8

sorry that you live in a literal 3rd world country that doesn't know what healthcare is let alone financial assistance
>>
>>71137690

>25
>only been working for a year

So you were a NEET sponger.
>>
>>71137701
>move to an area with a lower cost of living

Your attitude is the reason why America is first world nation with a third world society.
>>
>>71137721
no i was a student
>>
>>71137712

> i dont receive any financial aid at all m8

You literally said "i have been on benefits" in your last comment
>>
>>71137745
>have
>>
>>71133992
pretty poor
>>
>>71137721
Did you grow up in a stable home with both parents, under a roof that was owned, not rented?
>>
>>71137791

No
>>
>a brazilian commie tried to piggy back on the brits banter but being totally ignored lmao
>>
>>71137809
Then you have excuse from being divorced from reality, unless you are some sort of sociopath or narcissist incapable of empathy.
>>
>>71137740

>student at 25

Mate, if you started uni at 18, you could get a masters degree by 24. So this leaves two possibilities. Either you are a massively underemployed person with an advanced degree or you were a late-graduating student who didnt get out of uni until 24.
>>
>>71131101
South Carolina guy?
>>
>>71137831

I have empathy. I'd argue that those who condone poor behavior and welfare are the ones without empathy. By incentivizing them they are creating more of a problem for the poor and removing any incentives for the poor to improve their own situation and leaving them stuck in an endless cycle of poverty.
>>
>>71137857

Who?
>>
>>71137835
i switched courses and took a sandwich year.
yes, i graduated at 24.

none of this is relevant to the conversation, however.
which is and has been the assertion that poor people in britain live better than poor people in america.
>>
>>71137858
genuinely hope you never lose your job and hope that you never get seriously ill

worry for you yanks and your absolute third world tier lives
>>
>>71137876

No it hasn't. That was a small part of the conversation and one which has already been addressed.
>>
>>71137898
are you slow?
>>
>>71137895

I have lost my job before and I have been seriously ill.
>>
>>71137905

are you?
>>
>>71137517
Why would you think I'm lying
>>
>>71137912
and how did you provide for yourself when you lost your job? how did you pay for your hospital bills?
>>
>>71137876
>switched courses and took a sandwich year

That is your own fault, desu. Why should others pay for your bad decisions?
>>
>>71137939
you can't get benefits as student you muppet

nobody paid for my decisions except me
>>
>>71133224
We're an island with 60+ million people on it m8, need to save space. I bet you suck off Japan for saving space too.
Considering we were the world's first industrialised country it's a miracle we still have as much countryside left as we do - over 90% of the landmass isn't built on.
>>

they get medicaid, and local charity programs
>>
>>71137959

(this is sarcasm in case you didn't realise, you are not in fact first world)
>>
>>71137972
what's the sarcasm about? i dont get it.
>>
>>71137954

So at what point were you on benefits?
>>
>>71138003
directly after uni while looking for a job

here in the first world we assist our jobseekers so they don't die while looking for work
>>
>>71136951
>little to no healthcare

Should have taken a lower-end job to meet your needs until you could find something permanent.
>>
>>71138046
this is literally nothing in actual first world countries
>>
>>71138057
and what was i supposed to live off while looking for that lower end job?

and that is what i did, by the way
>>
>>71134068
Those are brick FACADES, dude. As in, only the outer layer of the front of those homes is made up of brick.
>>
>>71138081
>and what was i supposed to live off while looking for that lower end job?

Sounds like your parents paid for your schooling, else you'd have had a job through uni. You fucked up and others paid for your mistakes.
>>
>>71138067
Getting free housing, money and healthcare is nothing

we get student loans and grants in the uk, again, nobody paid for my education except me

are you quite done strawmanning about my life? or would you like to continue doing so as a way to deflect from the fact your country is on par with third world african shitholes in regards to healthcare and financial assistance?

Nigga what the fuck did you expect for living in the capital
>>
>>71138140

So why did you not work while in uni and why did you not arrange a job before you graduated? You also said you took a gap year and switched majors.
>>
Oh this is area
>>
>>71138164
ah so you would like to continue discussing my life as opposed to the infrastructure of your country okay then lad
