I guess not much considering they're made in mexico

Actually they're made in China
It seems I mistook the meaning of "cost" for "price".
But either way, the store price of the sweater in the pic is about $90 and the cost should be about $30. When it comes sale price it should be 60$ or so.
A daughter of millionaire sells 60$ sweater, even after her father becomes the president.
Surely US seems great these days.

literally who?
>>70986843
Akstshually they are made in vietnam

does this have some kind of deeper meaning to a a japanese person?

Most Japanese presume what Ivanka sells is something like shirts whose price is more than thousands $ or so.
And price of 60$.
Even though a shitty billionaire who sells 20$ sweater actually exists here, the price of sweater which average normy 20's wear is likely to be more than 150$.
60-90$ may be prices for teenage schoolgirls and Ivanka selling such a stuff simply sounds queer.

Where do you live in Japan? It's sort of an embarrassment here if you pay a lot for a clothing item. You want good looks for a small price. Then you can brag to everyone how little it cost.

Interesting to know!
I also appreciate these kinds of small actions. When a politician cuts his own salary, or demands simple meals for his office, this kind of thing.
Recently I've read about some politician who had cut his office budget in more than 50% by dismissing unnecessary services, but I can't remember who it was.

Around Tokyo.
As a 4chan anon in /int/, I also have thought our society demands too much spending for clothing, but they are so merciless. Yes they are.

Her fashion line is targeted towards working-class women who want chic fashion at a low price.
She wants haut culture to be more affordable. That's why she took the plunge and fabricates it all in China.
