My school is a public one, but I haven't heard anything about drugs at all of my high school. Some students smoke cigarettes and drink alcohol, but that's all. Very peaceful everyday.

It depends what school you belong. My school puts high priority on study, so teachers care about test results of all of the students so much. And, yeah, some students go Yobiko where they study additionally after the school time.
