I really would like to find new Latinamerican music from other countries than Argentina, Uruguay and 70s Perú, but it's next to impossible. No true modern music or new generes, it's always: a) Copying some anglo music band and aspiring to "be the local version of"; b) Revivalist roots/world music.

I think Chile has conditions to produce good music, but have yet to see it happening.

The thing with Mexico is just unbelievable. Biggest Latam country, biggest market, a hell of infrastructure, and pure SOULESS music.
