That doesn't sound right. They have mountain ranges up to 13,000 ft tall. If all ice on the planet melted the sea levels would rise by around 110 ft or so.

melted icebergs would make the SEAS colder, fucking up climate as we know how it is now. it's not that the WHOLE world will become hotter or colder, but areas that were cold might get hot and areas where it's hot might get cold. everything would be out of balance and life is used to balance. there would be massive extinction and that means no food for the survivors, which in turn will die as well

Problem with the poles melting is not the excess water, which only comes from Antartica and Greenland, not the North pole, it's the reflection.
Ice(white) reflects 90-95% of the sunlight back, dark blue water doesn't. It'll start a chain reaction which'll heat up the Earth even quicker.
