Depends on where you go. Some areas it really is rare to see a white person.

When I was a teenager. I was waiting for a lift from Belmore station and some guy driving past rolled down his window, pointed at me, smiled and said "AYY. WHITE PEOPLE!!!"

It took me a few years to reach the same level of excitement in seeing another white person in Belmore.
