Most big name beers are shit and weak, but you can find plenty that are good. Also imports.

The weed here is either crap or really good, not much of a middle ground. With it being legal in some states the availability of high end has become much easier to get your hands on. If it is weak and nasty chances are it was done hastily and by an illegal grow operation that doesn't really care about growing quality plants, just getting something to the level where it will be bought.
