I[m not arguing there's no diversity in Mexico nor non Aztec peoples, What I'm stating s there were reasons beyond propaganda the country was founded based on Aztec identity, it was the predominant culture. Nahuas today are the most numerous remaining group of native speakers in the country, and this is by far, the Maya aside they outnumber all other groups put together.
