Good. The thing about public is you have to share it with the public, the vast majority of which I can assure you have no desire to deal with your drunk, loitering, faggotry.

So not freedom. There's a lot of things people would rather not deal with in public, but they're still legal because that's the way it has always been.

It's less assumption of guilt and more a preventative measure to ensure public drunkenness is not present period

It's dumb but understandable, especially living next to reservations where alcoholics are in abundance
>>
>>70319408
If you can't be bothered to do something as simple as cover up the label of what you're drinking in order to be in compliance with the law then yes you're an asshole and a public nuisance.

Also public drinking is legal in Louisiana and numerous municipalities so you weren't even right about that.

>No it isn't.
Why are they censoring it on television though? I've never seen that here or in other countries.
If you do it so often, that you have to censor it so kids don't pick it up you have a problem.
>It's dumb but understandable, especially living next to reservations where alcoholics are in abundance
If you have so many potential alcoholics that it would be a problem, it's a problem.
>No it isn't
It is in most states, is it not?
>>
>>70319182
Prostitution is not only illegal but criminalized in most of the US, Nevada is an exception not the norm.
>>
>>70319696
A station does as it wishes, to get a G or PG rating you can't have cursing, and G/PG gets more viewings and thus earns more money

If it's an adult show they wont censor that shit

>So many potential alcoholics
No they are alcoholics, which is why we don't drink in public, because it encourages them to escape their rathole and come here to drink and be fat disgusting shits

>It is in most states
No it isn't and whoever told you that baited your ass hard

It isn't censored on all channels. This may surprise you but a lot of people prefer to watch programming with their children and would prefer that they not get a phone call at work the next day to find out that little Johnny was calling his teacher a jizz drinking cumrag.
>It is in most states, is it not?
Yes, but not all of them. Which means it's not illegal in the United States.

Again you seem to be unable to grasp that that a free people may wish to be free of you and your obnoxious vices and may excercise their community's sovereignty to legislate your degenerate ass away from them and their families.

Want to hear swearwords on tv? There are channels for that. Want to fuck whores? There's a place for that. Want to get hammered in public? There's a place for that too.

It's not federally illegal. Like public nudity and drinking though most states have prohibited it.
>>

>prostitution illegal
So it is in Sweden de facto, given that purchase is illegal there.

>drinking in public
Mainly an excuse for the police to intervene if you're being a drunken asshole and a public nuisance

To prevent drunk driving among teenagers, but admittedly shitty.

>cursing on TV
Not during the night.
>>
>>70319987
Maybe if your country spent more time getting and education and working for a living and less time getting soused in public there wouldn't be such a broadbased acceptance of it being a mediocre, third world, shithole.
>>
>>70320036
It cannot be a federal law since federal laws except for the constitution cannot involve in the governing internal policies or rules of the federate state.
Whilst the US federal constitution is small and very open to different methods of applying the law , it is argueable that federal laws of the United States don't actually matter a lot for the constitution or laws of the Federete state.

You haven't studied US law long if you think that Federal Law > State Law

It's a matter of enforcement, and state police are obligated to enforce state law above Federal.

No they can't there's no federal law against prostitution unless you count the law about transporting whores across state lines.

If there were what you said would be correct.

No it is legal in Nevada. It is not legal in the ENTIRE United States.

You're wrong. The federate states are completely free from the federal state in their internal issues except for the Federal Constitution. The federete states have their own Constitution , rules , (as long as it stricts to the Federal Constitution ) head of the state and even the justice system. The only law of the Federal State that applies to the Federete States is the constitution and since as I said the American constitution is so small and open to different methods , it doesn't actually matter a whole lot. You might say that I am wrong but my proof here is the the court where Gay Marriage were being legalised. There were simply no changes in the Constitution from the 18th century yet they could apply the law in such a wide term that Gay Marriage could be legalised by simply commenting the 18th century Constitution a bit different.
>>
>>70320332

So in other words the US has a red light district 2/3s the size of your entire country. If prostitution is illegal we're doing a really shit job with ouf 285,000 square km whoreshouse.

>do you have a problem with states and municipalities having sovereignty to pass their own laws as long as they don't infringe upon the constitution

Ahahah nice this is the first time this has happened to me

Gay marriage wasn't legalized, the Supreme Court decided that it was included within the 14th amendment's Equal Protection and Due Process clauses and therefore could not be infringed or prevented

It wasn't edited

The individual states do have their own laws, taxes, and administrations but Federal law takes over if there is conflict, otherwise you'd get a very odd nation that wouldn't be federal but more confederate as each individual state can run things their own way, but have to abide be an overarching constitution or charter

I don't think you understand that fundamental difference

We are one of the few countries where we celebrate our slavery.
>>
>>70320585
It's not about knowing the country , it's about knowing the Law system of it.
>gay marriage wasn't legalised
Doesn't matter if it did or not , my point stands which was that Constitution was small and could be applied in many different ways causing many different outcomes.
>federal state takes over
In the utter most urgent situations and this does not really matter since it has nothing to do with the topic here
And there is not that many differences between a Federal and a Confederate state , Confederations are just a little bit more a primitive version. Federete states do act in their own will in governing theirselves and are completely autonomous from the Federal state in terms of internal things. Federete states are actually somewhat of a different country but only on the internal politics.

Difference between what?

>In the utter most urgent situations and this does not really matter since it has nothing to do with the topic here
Not him but that's just simply wrong. Federal law always supercedes state law, ALWAYS. This has been precident since the Marshall Court.

The only thing that ameliorates that is enforcement. State law enforcement officers are paid and sworn to enforce their state laws, not federal.
>>
>>70320758
We're arguing about different things, you're arguing about principal federalization and the concept of it, and I'm talking about it being put into practice in relation to the United States

Also
>In the utter most urgent situations and this does not really matter since it has nothing to do with the topic here
If it didn't it'd be confederacy, that's the difference
Federates are subservient to the Federal state, and are given autonomy to a certain degree to ensure cooperation and mutual protection, if standardization wasn't to some degree enforced then it would fall apart
>>
>>70320845
>Federal law always supercedes state law
Federal constitution does , yet I have told it 3 times now so I don't really see a point on telling it again. Federete laws are not subject to regular federal laws , that would simply make the federete state not a state but an autonomous province like how some provinces in Spain are. Federete states have their own Legal system
>>
>>70320835
I'm leaving the United States, I'm calling it quits. I can't deal with it anymore. I don't want to live in a country where the electorate says:

''I will give up my life for the 1%'' or ''I understand that because one of the only ways I can afford insurance is through working, I am now a slave and okay with that.'' We will likely be going back to the days where if you had a yeast infection when you were young, an insurance company can deny you cancer treatment. Where pregnancy is a preexisting condition and should you need medical care in the future, even if you've paid all of your premiums on time, can tell you to go die. The worst part? Americans think because they have guns they're free. Oh, they're free alright, free to live in squalor and fight to give people like me tax breaks thinking we're going to hire American?
>>
>>70320916
Cooperation and mutual protection comes in in the international affairs. Federete states are completely subject to the Federal state in matters of international diplomacy and actually doesn't even exist in that part. Inside the country however they cooperate like how two entirely seperate countries would do.
>>
>>70320957
>, yet I have told it 3 times now so I don't really see a point on telling it again. Federete laws are not subject to regular federal laws
What the fuck are you even trying to say?

It is a fact that federal law supercedes state law, this is not a matter of opinion, this is a 225 year old legal precident that has been ruled on by the Supreme Court literally dozens of time. If you're trying to argue otherwise you are quite simply wrong.

If a state legalizes weed it is still illegal and you can still be prosecuted and jailed for possession and consumption.
