Yeah. To buy or to rent, same shit. The price of housing is actually the biggest plague on the French economy. It destroys the people's purchasing power and a lot of money is invested in it instead of the productive sectors, creating a rentier-economy.

If you want a decent house you have to spend roughly 1 million these days. It's pretty much unaffordable for normal people. And sooner or later the bubble will collabse like in the US, but it will cause much more damage I assume.
