I don't because it is an expensive scam and bad for the environment to plant food in a cold climate.

Weekend farmers markets are popular here so I get to buy local for most of the year. The food is always cheap and delicious.
When I leave out of the city sometimes local farmer will have roadside stands and you can buy fresh food from them there as well.
