>the UK is actually supposedly four different countries together and UK fags get triggered when you call the whole of the islands "England" or refer to the UK as a single country
>each of the "countries" contained in the UK have less autonomy then US states
Explain yourself, bongs.
Can't be arsed explaining 400 years of history to a yank desu. Watch a documentary or something. A History of Britain would do.
>the US is actually supposedly fifty different countries together and US fags get triggered when you call the whole of the nation "Washington" or refer to the US as a failed colony
the whole island isn't england though, silly pablo.

>the sovereign state known as the US is actually 50 "states"
explain yourselves yanks
british isles = england, scotland, wales, northern ireland, ireland, and all the surrounding islands
great britain = england, wales, and scotland
united kingdom = england, wales, scotland, and northern ireland
the only real confusing part is that wales both is and isn't a separate country from england
it was annexed into england officially in 1535, something which hasn't been officially overturned
however, wales has always retained its own cultural differences to england and is almost always referred to as a separate country
furthermore, wales was afforded the same powers of devolution as scotland and northern ireland in 1998, effectively recognising wales as separate from england once again
there's also the fact that the crown dependencies (isles of man, jersey, guernsey, etc) aren't officially part of england nor the united kingdom at large
despite the fact that the isles of scilly very much is a part of england and therefore the united kingdom
they're just specially snowflakes really, and everyone knows they're part of the uk

Good explanation but
>however, wales has always retained its own cultural differences to england
then where did their language go?
>>70086954
Compared to the other celts they doing really well.
>>70086954
they still speak welsh, it's even on their roadsigns
kind of like quebec i guess
Is Cornwall not a thing anymore?
>>70087057
cornwall is part of england and cornish independence is literally a meme
>>70087057
Cornwall was never a thing.
>>70085182
Imagine if we referred to the US as California. That's how ignorant you sound
And no one gets triggered if you refer to the UK as a single country because it is a single country. The constituent 'countries' are known as countries because of tradition, but they're really just regions
>>70087057
Texan or Californian independence is more of a serious thing than Cornish independence movement is
>>70085182
Why do people freak out about is being one nation made up of countries? The kingdom of Denmark is the same thing
>>70086954
Mostly North wales but they speak it in south wales too as a 2nd language, it sounds fucking awful and looks awful but they insist on teaching in it and speaking it
>>70087138
>And no one gets triggered if you refer to the UK as a single country because it is a single country.
I've definitely seen Brits get triggered over that many times
>>70088671
That guy is an autistic retard and probably Scottish
>>70086871
This handy picture explains it too. It'll soon need to be revised and edited, but for now it's relevant.
>tfw Britain has genocided scots, welsh, irish and many american tribes, african tribes, indian rebells, but we are always the bad guys
>>70087096
>>70089594
That is because of your uncouth methods.
